MLA Citation Format: Works Cited General Guidelines

• Type on a separate sheet of paper at the end of the research product. Use 12-point font ~ Times New Roman.
• Title the page as Works Cited (Bibliography and Literature Cited are also acceptable.
• Center the title an inch from the top of the page. Do not italicize the words Works Cited or put them in quotation marks. 
• List only the sources used. 
• List the entries in alphabetical order based on the fist letter of the source entry (ex. – first author’s last name or by the first letter of the title if an author is not provided).
• Begin the first line of each entry at the left margin (using the same margins used with the research paper or product).
• Indent (tab) all additional lines 5 spaces if the entry is more than one line.
• Double space everything!
